Mad Cow · Lake Erie
Sailing apps, tested on the boat.
A race start timer that runs on a watch, and control for
robotic race marks on the way. The boat is the test rig
—
the trip logs are where that happens.
Apps
Useful on the water
-
Race Timer
Runs the start sequence on a Wear OS watch. The horn goes on the gun, not near it, and it keeps going with the phone left in the bag.
-
Buoyant
Robotic race marks you set, move and watch from wherever you are running the race, instead of dragging anchors around.
Trip logs
Photos from actually being out there
Each trip gets a page: the photos, where we went, and a few sentences on how it went. Nothing here yet — the first one goes up once the photos are sorted.
Mad Cow is sailed out of Cleveland by Dave Alvarado, who writes the software on this site. The engineering side of it lives at madcowhq.com.
